The SENDFIA methodology
Seven stages. One direction.
Each letter of SENDFIA is a stage of the method.
The seven stages
Select a letter to see each stage.
Stage 1 / 7Initial diagnosis
SEE · See
Understand the current situation.
We get to know how the company really operates: what is happening, what hurts, what takes up time and what causes losses. Without an accurate picture of the present, any improvement rests on assumptions.
Stage 2 / 7Initial diagnosis
EXPLORE · Explore
Investigate causes, needs and opportunities.
We analyse processes, data, people, tools and risks to find root causes, not just symptoms. This avoids investing in solving the wrong problem.
Stage 3 / 7Initial diagnosis
NAVIGATE · Set direction
Define priorities and direction.
We set priorities and describe the future state the company wants to reach. The result is a roadmap: what to do first, what comes next and why.
Stage 4 / 7Implementation
DESIGN · Design
Design the right solution.
We create a solution shaped by the problem, not by a catalogue: how the process will work, which tools are involved and who is responsible for each part.
Stage 5 / 7Implementation
FORTIFY · Strengthen
Build in security, controls and structure.
We build in controls, security, documentation and structure as part of the design, not as a final add-on, so the improvement lasts even when people change or the company grows.
Stage 6 / 7Implementation
IMPLEMENT · Implement
Carry out what has been approved.
We turn the designed and approved solution into an operational reality: we test it before it goes live and support the team through the change.
Stage 7 / 7Implementation
ADVANCE · Advance and improve
Measure, learn and improve.
We measure results, learn from real operations and keep improving.
Non-negotiable principles
Understand before automating
We never recommend automating a process before understanding and optimising it.
Security and structure by design
Controls, security and documentation are built in during design, not added at the end.
Implement only what is approved
We only carry out what you have approved, within a scope agreed before we start.
Technology is worth more when it works for people
Artificial intelligence and automation can change how a company works, but they are not the automatic starting point. First we understand and improve the process; then we decide which technology makes sense to bring in.
Security and structure are not added at the end: they are part of the design from the start.
- Understand
- Optimise
- Automate securely
Security and structure by design
It all starts with seeing
The initial diagnosis covers the first three stages, see, explore and set direction, with a security review of each opportunity. The following stages are part of implementation, which is agreed afterwards.
